Hypernuclear structure with the new Nijmegen potentials

We perform continuous-choice Brueckner-Hartree-Fock calculations of hypernuclear matter, using the recent Nijmegen potentials for hyperon-nucleon and hyperon-hyperon interactions. Single-particle observables of the various hyperons in bulk matter, as well as properties of singleand double-lambda hypernuclei, employing an extended Skyrme-Hartree-Fock scheme, are presented. We find that the poten...

The Nijmegen Potentials

A review is given of the various Nijmegen potentials. Special attention is given to some of the newest developments, such as the extended soft-core model, the high-quality potentials, and the Nijmegen optical potentials for NN.

4 ΛΛ bond energy from the Nijmegen potentials

The ΛΛ bond energy ∆B ΛΛ in ΛΛ hypernuclei is obtained from a G-matrix calculation which includes the coupling between the ΛΛ, ΞN and ΣΣ channels, as well as the effect of Pauli blocking to all orders. The Nijmegen NSC97e model is used as bare baryon-baryon interaction in the strangeness S = −2 sector. The ΛΛ-ΞN coupling increases substantially the bond energy with respect to the uncoupled ΛΛ c...

Triton Bound State Calculation with Energy - Dependent Separable Potentials

Energy-dependent N-N separable potentials proposed recently by Garcilazo are examined in trinucleon systems. For-the special energydependence of the two-body potentials chosen there the Faddeev equations are well defined, unique, and preserve three-body unitarity. It is found that Garcilazo potentials overbind the triton by more than 14 MeV. A modified Garcilazo potential is proposed, which tak...
